Overview hair colour 4.65 mahogany red brown

hair_dye_mahogany_red_brown

The mahogany red brown hair dye is of high quality and has specifically been developed to use at home. As pure as possible, without ammonia, ppd (but with tds), resorcinol and parabens, it's much better for your hair. The colourcream protects your hair and gives it shine. Our mahogany red brown hair dye contains a lot of pigment that ensures a warm mahogany red brown, longlasting colour. You need about one package for hair down that's lower than your shoulders. If you only dye your outgrowth, you can do several times with a package. Make sure you don't mix all the colourcream with activator, but measure it on, for example, a kitchen scale and keep the rest in the tube. This way, the remains can be stored for up to 12 months after opening.

The colour comes in a tube of 60ml that has to be mixed with the activator with a ratio of 1:1. The colour and activator should be mixed with the enclosed brush in a plastic container (warning: do not use a metal container or metal cutlery! When the colour comes in touch with metal, it will rust and become unusable).

The mahogany red brown hair color contains a 60 ml colourcream that you mix with the activator (6%) in the ratio 1:1. This package contains:

  • Colour cream mahogany red brown - 60ml
  • Activator 6% - 60ml
  • Brush with comb
  • Plastic gloves
  • Clear instructions
  • Sachet shampoo and conditioner

With 6% hydrogen peroxide you can lighten your hair 1 - 2 shades to a mahogany red color if it is not dyed yet. If your hair is darker than mahogany red and dyed, you cannot dye it lighter with this color.

About mahogany red hair colours

The mahogany red brown hair dye is part of the warm and red colours. These have the advantage of containing the least allergens. Are you (possibly) allergic? You can ask for a free tester to see if you have an allergic reaction to the colour. You should ask for specifically a red or copper tint because the composition of these colours is different. A disadvantage of red tints is that they fade more quickly. If you've never dyed your hair red before, this is definitely the case. Colouring your hair red for the first time is always more difficult. Red pigments just fade from your hair more quickly. To successfully dye red with longer, better results you would have to 'stack' the colour (pigment). You can do this by dying your hair red a few extra times. WECOLOUR is as pure as possible and isn't harmful for your hair. You can therefore dye multiple times without having to worry about the health of your hair. You'll see that the colour stays beautiful for longer each time. Patience is key!

The mahogany red brown hair dye has 100% grey coverage. If you find the 4.65 too dark you can also opt for the colour copper red light brown - our 6.64. Of course it's also possible to mix the mahogany red brown (4.65) with copper red light brown (6.64) if you find the 4.65 too dark and the 6.64 too light.

The lighter your hair colour is right now, the brighter the colour will be. If you're dark brown right now, the colour will be less bright. Would you like another colour? We have 32 colours to choose from. You can also take a look at our Pinterest for inspiration of the different colours we offer.

Every package comes equipped with an instruction flyer. The mixing ratio of colour cream and developer is 1:1. Shake the developer well before use. Mix 1 tube of colour cream with 1 bottle of developer in a plastic or glass bowl until you have an even mixture. If you only want to dye your outgrowth or if your hair is very short, you can use half of both the developer and the colour cream. Use the hair colour within 12 months after opening. Once you've applied the dye to your roots, continue applying the dye throughout the lengths and ends. Use the end of the brush to separate sections of hair. Per section, brush the colour into your hair and massage it thoroughly so it's evenly spread. Repeat this for all sections. When you've finished, leave the colour in your hair to develop for 35 minutes.

Read the instructions carefully before colouring!

Preparation and tips
Preparation and tips

Tips and tricks for dyeing your hair with the best results:

  • We recommend that you perform an allergy test at least three days before dyeing your hair. Mix a tiny bit of the colour cream with a drop of the developer and apply it on the inside of your arm under a plaster. Make sure you leave the dye for at least 72 hours, occasionally check to see how your skin is reacting to the dye. If you have an allergic reaction, we advise you not to dye your hair.
  • For the best results, don’t wash your hair for two days before dyeing your hair. This protects your scalp.
  • Use an old towel.
  • Always use plastic gloves (included in the package).
  • Don't use a metal bowl to mix the colouring. Always use a plastic or glass bowl.
  • Use a brush to apply the dye (included in the package).
  • Use an alarm to keep track of the time.
  • If you won't be using all of the colour cream in one go, it's best to use kitchen scales to accurately measure out the cream.
  • Before applying the dye, you can apply some oil-based cream to your hairline along your forehead, ears and neck so the dye won't stain your skin.
